Happy Thanksgiving

I hope that everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We had both of our families together last night with tons of great food. We invited other patients and nurses from the floor to come eat with us. We really took over the visitor's lounge.

Rob made a huge step in his recovery yesterday. It was a really tough move, but Rob got into his wheelchair and came out of his room to eat with the family. It was really the first time that most of the family has seen him in the chair as well as Rob being open to being seen. It was an emotional moment, but I think a very powerful one to jump start the next section of rehab. We are just hoping that the ribs continue to heal and he gets his appetite back so that he will have the strength to accomplish next week's goals.
